Yazzy Fall Workshop

Following the Yazzy Summer Morning Mix, is the YAZZY Preparatory Workshops, which consist of a number of musical and professional development clinics over a three-month period, are primarily for professional development of YAZZY faculty and training of students. In addition, these workshops are used for rehearsal of a selected production, and the auditioning of students for the YAZZY annual Yazzy Youth Celebrating Jazz concert.

During each month, local arts teachers are used for the clinics andone of the nationally acclaimed professional entertainers, who has been designated to perform for the annual event, will conduct one clinic per month. During the visitation of this artist, he/she, participating students, and local artists will conduct at least one “Jam Session” in the community. This session is designed to promote the annual event and to fine tune the musical performances of the students and teachers.
